QotD: Notes to the Future

If you could leave notes for the future, what message would you have left in the past for today?

If I could have left a note in the past for myself today it would say:

"Keep your head up, love unconditionally, and never take anything for granted!"

It may sound silly but that's the best advice I could give myself. I constantly remind myself these three things just to keep myself in check. I often put too much pressure on myself or I get my feelings hurt easily and I just tell myself "Keep your head up". If for one moment I decide not to display my love for others I remind myself to "love unconditionally". And lastly, when I take the sweet things people do for granted and forget to share with them how much it means, I tell myself to "never take anything for granted". I often have tor remind myself to think like this, but I would leave myself a note so I can make sure I LIVE like this. We often get caught up in our own world and forget to stop and smell the roses. Doing these things really puts everything into perspective for me and makes me realize that I am absolutely blessed!

What question do you hate being asked?

I hate being asked "Are you sick?". I know it sounds crazy but allow me to explain. I rarely get sick and usually when I do get sick, I don't go out. So when people ask me if I'm sick, I am generally just having a really bad hair day and looking a complete hot mess. Now I know I look bad, but when that question gets asked it just reminds me that other people know I look bad too. So I am definitely not a fan of people asking me if I am sick.

QotD: Procrastinating...

What have you been putting off all weekend?

This is the first weekend I can actually say that I did everything I intended to do, plus more. I have been trying to do new things and go different places for quite a while now and I honestly have not been doing it. Like most people I get comfortable in my lifestyle and although it's boring, I never feel like changing it. This weekend was different. I went to a new museum, explored the city, and got a tall at Starbucks instead of a grande. I am so proud of myself and I hope I am open to change like this more frequently now.

QotD: You'd Better Recognize!

What talent do you have that you wish more people would recognize?

Well I have many talents that I wish people would recognize, but one in particular is my amazing ability to sleep. I get criticized very often about this talent but how many people do you know with the ability to sleep 90% of the day? Now I'm sure you're probably thinking this is a completely useless talent but you are so wrong. If I ever get stuck in a sticky situation I just wish would end, I can sleep it off. Now that is talent that can come in handy. In conclusion, sleeping all day is not a sign of laziness, but a sign of brilliance!

What have you tried in life that you just weren't very good at?

Wow! There are so many things I have tried that I have just completely stunk at! Definitely far too many things to list, but I learned a lot from all those situations. The key to life is to laugh! Laugh at yourself and at your friends and your family. Just laugh. At the end of the day it doesn't matter if you can sing or dance or play soccer, all you need to do is have fun and care about the people around you. So although I might not be able to win American Idol or the Super Bowl, I can laugh and have a good time doing the things I can do!
